Registration Officer

Salary £21,968-£24,054 per annum | Permanent, Part Time, 22.2 hours per week | The Mechanics Institute, Accrington | Pro Rata

The core task of this role is to register births, still-births, deaths, marriages and civil partnerships and c arry out all related duties and responsibilities in compliance with the Registration Acts. Duties and responsibilities include to:

- Attest routine notices of marriage/civil partnerships; conduct statutory and non-statutory ceremonies at registration offices, religious buildings and approved premises.
- Advise members of the public and partners on all matters relating to the registration service.
- Deal with all registration corrections, respond to face to face, telephone, online or postal enquires and submit all weekly/quarterly returns within the stated timescales.

This is a permanent post based at Accrington Registration Service. This position is part time, please note the salary quoted is full time equivalent, the salary received will be paid on a pro-rata basis. The hours for the post will be 22.2 per week, working Monday, Wednesday and Friday.
