Consultant in Cardiology

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dynamic and enthusiastic Consultant Cardiologist to join a well-established cardiology team within NHS Ayrshire and Arran.
- The integrated Cardiology service in Ayrshire and Arran comprises a team of 9 Consultant Cardiologists. Six of these consultants currently have a practice based wholly in NHSAA whilst the others undertake clinical activity in NHSAA as well as the Golden Jubilee National Hospital and as part of the West of Scotland Primary PCI Service hosted by NHS Lanarkshire.
- The base for this post is University Hospital Ayr (UHA), however the expectation is that the postholder will undertake clinical work across both UHA and University Hospital Crosshouse (UHC).
- Development of a CTCA service
- Introduction of cardiologist of the week and day unit model at UHA
- Consolidation of the cardiologist of the week and day unit model at UHC
- All applicants will be appropriately experienced with Full GMC Registration with a current Licence to Practice. Applicants should have you will also be required to be a certified IMER practitioner.
