Senior Bookkeeper

**About us**

We are a well-established Accountancy Practice based in Kingswinford, following significant growth, we are looking for an experienced Bookkeeper to join our expanding team.

You will need to have previous experience of working within an accountancy practice and must have an excellent understanding of Sage software. A knowledge of other cloud-based software, such as Xero, Quickbooks or Freeagent will be advantageous.

This is a full time, permanent position and would suit someone who can work with little supervision and is able to prioritise a variable workload. Experience is more important than qualifications for this role, but it may suit someone who is AAT qualified looking for a new challenge.

**The duties of Bookkeeper will include**:

- Bookkeeping for multiple clients to include sole traders, partnerships and Limited companies
- Bank reconciliations, balance sheet reconciliation and posting of journals to prepare for year-end handover to the accounts team.
- Processing and submission of Vat returns on Sage and other cloud-based software
- Ability to investigate and interrogate accounts to deal with any issues that may arise
- General Office administration tasks that may arise

**Bookkeeper Position Requirements**
- 3 years minimum experience required (ideally in practice)
- An excellent knowledge of SAGE Accounts software and Excel, Sage payroll knowledge will be advantageous
- Self-motivated with the ability to use own initiative
- Able to work to tight deadlines
