Manchester, United Kingdom Space 48 Full time

As our People Coordinator you'll have great experience gained across all areas of the Peoplefunction. We’re a growing business so it's important that you're someone who thrives in a fast-paced, changing environment and is willing to get involved in everything from administration to project work and everything in between.

You'll be the bedrock of the HR provision across our group. Your role is all about ensuring smooth processes, supporting our amazing team, and making a real impact every day.

**Here’s how a typical day or two might look**:
You’ll start your day meeting with the People team looking at tasks for the week and chatting through progress on any projects we have underway. Payroll cut off date is coming up so you make sure you have all the changes and additions for the month and input them ready for the payroll provider to process. You then answer a couple of queries from the team around unpaid leave and booking on the HR System. Next you set up the background checks for new starters, checking in with People Partner to ensure everything else is ready for them. The People and Culture Director asks you to help with preparing the data and reports for the Board meeting in a week’s time so you spend some time downloading reports from People HR and pulling it all together. After checking on any birthdays and work anniversaries and preparing some engaging comms to go out you follow up on some possible venues for the next Group get together, asking for more information and quotes to discuss in the next People team catch up.

**Here's a bit more about what you'll be doing**:

- Be the go-to person for all People administration and queries across the Dark Matter Commerce Group (Space 48, Bring Digital and Brave the Skies).

- Help to create engaging internal communications across different platforms and channels.
- Support the training and development provision across the teams including recording

relevant courses, sourcing partners and arranging courses.

**2. Absence Management Guru**:

- Handle absence management including sickness reporting for all the team into our HR

systems.
- Collaborate with line managers to reduce absence levels and keep our teams thriving.
- Make suggestions and support all our wellbeing initiatives.

**3. Policy Champion**:

- Offer expert advice on all our policies, procedures, and Handbooks, understanding the

differences across the businesses.

leaver paperwork.

- Help out with investigations, disciplinary actions, and grievance meetings, ensuring

fairness and professionalism.

- Provide accurate data for the monthly Board reports covering our key KPIs.

understanding of our recruitment platform.
- Manage the HR & Recruitment inbox and respond to queries to ensure we continue to

provide a first class service to the business.

**5. Team Player**:

- Jump in on any exciting ad hoc projects that come your way.
