Herne Bay, United Kingdom LDC Care Full time

About Us

LDC Care Co is an expanding family owned care provider with over 55 services located in Folkestone, Dover, Ashford and Herne Bay, supporting adults with highly complex learning disabilities, physical disabilities and mental health diagnoses within residential and supported living environments. We focus on building bespoke person-centred services around the individual and support them to work towards achieving life-changing outcomes.

With multiple CQC ratings of ‘Outstanding’ we are proud of our ability to provide high quality care to individuals who have struggled to maintain other mainstream placements or have spent time within secure settings, and reintegrate them back into the wider community to pursue social, personal, or vocational development opportunities.

About The Role

We are looking for inspiring, fun-loving, and caring individuals to join our care team at LDC Care Co. You will have a passion for supporting people to achieve their full potential, and will constantly be looking for opportunities to give new experiences to the people we support.

As a Support Worker at LDC Care Co no two days are the same. Just like you, the people we support have a range of hobbies and interests: from going on holidays (don’t worry - you get to go too), to the grand prix, having pamper days at the salon, and spending the days browsing the shops, to trying out the new local restaurants, going to the cinema, and even going to theme parks

LDC Care Co provide specialist care and support to adults with complex needs within more than 60 residential care homes and supported living settings across Kent. We provide person-centred homely environments to support individuals with learning disabilities, mental health diagnoses, and challenging behaviours (because who hasn’t had a bad day?) in ways which promote their independence and enhance their quality of life.

As a Support Worker with LDC Care Co, you will be trained to provide high-quality care from Day 1. But your learning doesn’t stop there You will be provided with opportunities to develop your career in social care, pursue fully-funded formal qualifications, and attend specialist training to support you in your role.

All you have to do, is care

The Person

If you have experience working within care settings and supporting adults with similar needs then great - we can’t wait to meet you If you already hold formal qualifications that you’ve recently gained whilst working in care, we’d love to see them

But if you don’t yet, don’t worry - we will teach you everything you need to know

Not quite sure how much time you can offer? We offer a range of flexible contracts that we can match to your availability.

The main thing we need to see from you is that you are a kind and caring individual, with strong ethical values which demonstrate an ability to support someone through the good times and the bad. Working in care can be tough, but the reward is huge
