WestonsuperMare, United Kingdom Companion Care Full time

Our team of Receptionists are the first and last impression of our Practice; responsible for caring for our clients and managing our vets’ diaries, they have the biggest impact on our day to day lives at work, and we want a professional, mature and good-humored colleague to join our team.

An average day will involve dealing with callers and visitors to the practice, handling appointments and client enquiries, taking payments, helping with admin and offering preventative healthcare advice. To do this to the standard we require needs more than great IT literacy; you’ll need to be highly motivated to take on new information in order to learn how and when to give advice, you’ll need to have a passion for pets, and you’ll need to have a special skill for combining professionalism with compassion.

Working in a Veterinary Practice is not easy; it is busy and demanding on a good day, which is why we provide our incredible team members with a supportive and friendly working environment, and a competitive salary package which includes exclusive company benefits and rewards - including 20% off at Pets at Home.

This role is part-time, averaging c.20 hours per week, working every Monday, Tuesday and Thursday 2-7, and one weekend every three weeks (Saturday 9-5, Sunday 10:30-4:30). Your rota will rarely change, and only ever following consultation.

No previous veterinary experience is necessary - you will receive full training.

This role will not be suitable for anyone aiming to become a veterinary nurse; they are very different roles and we would like to recruit a receptionist who plans to stay with us long-term.

Location: BS23 3YY
- Pets just see people. They aren’t biased and they don’t discriminate. We take our inspiration from pets, and we value and respect difference in all its forms. Our aim is to reflect the diversity of the communities we operate in, and every colleague can help us achieve this. We encourage our people to be themselves so even if your skills and experience don’t perfectly align, if you think you can make a unique contribution through your values and behaviours, we want to hear from you_
