Laboratory Technician

Our client a World Leader in serving science, are looking for a Laboratory Technician to work in their modern site based by the Dartford Tunnel in Dartford Kent.

Hours are Monday to Friday 8am to 4pm with a lunch break. Pay rate is £11.79 per hour.

**Responsibilities**:

- Manufacture of intermediates and final reagents. Including in process testing.
- Operation of semi automated equipment for the dispensing and production of a range of products.
- Handling of microorganisms for use in testing
- Monitoring of stock levels for products that you are manufacturing.
- Be responsible for the quality of manufactured reagents, completed documentation and ensure quality standards are maintained.
- Use of computerised systems for stock control monitoring to ensure items are available for when they are needed.
- Highlight any health and safety or quality issues to help support our site safety culture
- Engage in PPI (continuous improvement) programs as required.
- Any other duties/projects as are reasonable and within the skills and ability of the post holder.
- Actively participate in training, which will be given for all processes carried out.

**Minimum Requirements/Qualifications**:

- Interest in science and manufacturing
- Keen eye for detail.
- To have excellent communication (written and verbal) and organisational skills.
- Able to learn new skills and display them to a high standard.
