To strengthen our Production Team we are looking for experienced machine operators to work in our panel production facility.

**Position Title: Production Team Member (Machinist)**
**Reports to: Production Manager**
**Opportunities include**:
- NC controlled saw machine operators / setter
- CNC controlled panel edge machine operators / setter
- CNC drilling machine operator / setter
- Rates of pay are dependent on experience and shift pattern worked and opportunity to progress is available to those that can learn and pick things up quickly.
- **Trainee starting rate £10.67/ hour (40 hours) plus 20% shift premium - £12.80 / hour (minimum)**
- **Additional shift premium is available when working nights.**
- **Following the successful completion of the probation period a Teamwork premium will be paid at £0.25p / hour.**

**I. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES**:
- Provides manufacturing support to the Production Manager across a range of activities and skills.
- High skill levels, the ability to learn and the ability to produce work to the highest level.
- The ability to work flexibly and to be available at peak times when the workload demands it.
- Reliable, punctual with a proven attendance record
**II. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS**:
**A.** **The job - Production**
- Work in a team producing work of the highest quality.
- Working a variety of machinery including CNC machinery - training will be given.
- Achieve hourly, daily and weekly targets with minimum failures.
- Quality - understanding what quality standards are and ensure that they are achieved.
- Work flexibly when and where tasked by Supervisors and the Production Manager
- Have an acceptable knowledge of Health & Safety in the workplace.
- Forklift licence an advantage but not necessary.
- IT literacy an advantage but systems training will be given.
- Ability to work on own initiative with mínimal supervision.
- Attention to detail is vital in this role.
- Work additional hours each week as and when required at the appropriate overtime rate.
