We now recruiting for a Payroll Administrator at our Head Office in Spalding on a full time, permanent basis
Shift: Monday to Friday, 8.30-17.30
**Job Description** To provide a comprehensive and accurate administrative support service covering the employee lifecycle process in a timely manner and in accordance with employment legislation and Company policy and procedures.
To support the delivery of an accurate and timely payroll administration service for all weekly and monthly payrolls
**Main Responsibilities**:
- Administer the HR Admin in-box and deal with and respond to queries in a timely manner.
- Assist in processing the monthly and weekly payrolls. Including the calculation and accurate input of weekly and monthly timesheet and expense claims, in accordance with agreed processes and procedures and undertake the checking process within the requiredtimeframes.
- Ensure that all absence and attendance records and contractual and statutory payments such as SMP/CSP/SSP are calculated and entered on the HR and Payroll systems accurately and completed within required timeframes
- Update and maintain the Payroll databases through the shared table process
- Set up statutory and third-party deductions within the payroll system, including parking fines and attachment of earnings orders and ensure that they are accurately deducted in a timely manner.
- Prepare and print weekly and monthly paid payslips and distribute them within agreed timescales.
- Generate and distribute payroll related reports as directed by the HR Administration Supervisor.
- Communicate overpayments of pay to assist with the recovery of monies in a timely and acceptable manner (In conjunction with Finance team - debt recovery).
- Maintain and continue to help develop the HR Administration team process guides.
- To work collaboratively with the HR team to make sure a professional, effective and efficient service is given to all colleagues across the business.
- Work with the HR Administration Supervisor to keep the OVOTT (one version of the truth) up-to-date and ensure that all contracts of employment and changes to terms and conditions of employment are aligned.
- Notify the HR Administration Supervisor of any anomalies outside of company policy and procedure.
- Undertake general ad-hoc administrative duties, such as scanning and filing, as required and as directed by the HR Administration Supervisor.
**Qualifications**:
- Experience of working within a time-critical, high volume multiple Payroll environment
- Experience in the use of Microsoft office suite of products mainly word, excel and outlook
- A payroll qualification, or studying towards one is desirable
- Highly organised with ability to prioritise and multi-task high volume of daily work requests
- Knowledge and understanding of the requirement for confidentiality
- How to undertake manual calculations (SSP, SMP and SPP etc)
- Using IT packages relevant to Payroll SystemsThoroughness / Attention to Detail
