We are looking for a number of Visitor Rangers who can make a real difference to the lives of the communities most impacted by the increase in visitor numbers. These posts are seasonal and finish on 31/10/2023.

This will require taking part in regular multi-agency motorised patrol rota around rural visitor hotspots to engage with visitors and provide guidance on responsible access, which may require diplomacy and decisiveness. The postholder will support local landowners and communities impacted by additional visitors and promote responsible behaviours compliant with Scottish Outdoor Access Code. In this varied role the ranger will often be the first point of contact for the visitors as well as the residents thus will represent the Council. This role is primarily outdoors and will require regular driving through countryside across Perth & Kinross. Rangers will be required to perform simple maintenance tasks. Relevant training, uniform and access to liveried vehicle will be provided.
