Vehicle Checkers

Igloo has several fantastic opportunities for vehicle checkers to work in Sandtoft, in the North-East Lincolnshire region.

**The Role**:
Within the vehicle checking role you will find yourself checking a range of vehicles from small family cars through to light commercial and high-end vehicles, working on both new and used vehicles.

Within the role you will be responsible for undertaking the below tasks:

- Scan the vehicle prior to starting the check, check the paperwork matches the vehicles VIN and record the mileage
- Inspecting exterior and interior to set manufacturer standards
- Checking for and recording any damage that is found, you will record this on both a PDA and customer paperwork
- You will need to take photos of any damage you find
- The type of damage you are checking for is:

- Scratches
- Dents
- Paint / stone chips
- Cracked or chips in glass
- Damage to wing mirrors
- Bulges and nicks in tyres
- Rips or tears in upholstery
- Scratches and damage to areas such as, dashboard, centre consoles, interior mirror, and glove box
- You will be using calibration tools and inspection mirrors to complete checks
- Within the check you will also check the vehicle for loose items ensuring items such as the below are present in the car:

- Spare wheel / air compressor
- Locking wheel nut key
- Book packs
