Apprentice Joiner

Job Description:

Sample of tasks and duties:

- 1st & 2nd fix site Joinery.
- Fitting doors, windows, kitchens, bathrooms, guttering, glazing and much more.
- To assist and carry out project defined Joinery work to a high standard as directed by qualified personnel.
- Manual handling.
- Use a range of Joinery hand tools and portable machinery.
- High standards and pride in work carried out.
- Wear appropriate clothing and PPE specific to tasks.
- Ensure all areas of work are left clean and tidy.
- Conforming to relevant Health and Safety legislation.

Desired Skills:

- Achieved a Level 1 in English and Maths, or willingness to obtain.
- Undertaken work experience in a construction environment.

Personal Qualities:
Professional attitude and approach to work, polite and courteous, self-motivated, enthusiastic, flexible & adaptable, good communicator, ability to work both alone and as part of a team, reliable & punctual.

Training Provided:
You will become a fully qualified Joiner to the standard laid down by City & Guilds and gain a national vocational qualification Level 2 in Carpentry and Joinery.

**Salary**: From £5.28 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 30 per week
