**The role**
As an Automotive Training Instructor, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. you will work with our vehicle mechanics, instructing them to maintain a wide range of Military Land Equipment. No two days are the same as you provide a vital service as part of a wider Training and Competence team covering all DSG sites across the UK. It's a chance to launch a career that makes a real difference.
- Facilitate training courses which are outside of the individual specialisation by utilising the wider DSG Technical training organisation.
- Management of accreditation paperwork, assessment forms and certificates for all courses delivered to DSG staff.
- Recording of course results as appropriate
- Conduct audits, assurance and validation checks of internal recording systems and training records
- Work as part of a team to manage the automotive training programme and the creation of automotive course programmes
The role is adaptable and can be based at any main DSG site including Ashchurch, Bovington, Catterick, Colchester, Donnington and Warminster with hybrid working from home arrangements. However, there may be some weeks you will be expected to be on site 5 days per week.
**Essential experience of the Automotive Training Instructor**:
- Competent PC User (MS Office, Outlook, SharePoint)
- Follow up on and take responsibility for unresolved issues or escalations
- Able to develop effective relationships internally at a variety of levels
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills
- Able to work on own initiative to assist delivery of training team objectives and targets in line with internal policy and process
**Qualifications for the Automotive Training Instructor**:
- Educated to Level 3 in Regulated Qualification Framework (RQF) / National Vocational Qualification (NVQ) as a minimum (Advanced Apprenticeship, Level 3 VRQ/NVQ)
- An Instructional Qualification, backed up by experience in this role (E.g. L3 Teaching / Instructional qualification) (held or able to complete in the first 12 months)
- Full UK Driving licence
