£35,000 per annum

An industry-leading waste management company are hiring a certified SHEQ Coordinator. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to the growth of an environmentally focused business that aims towards sustainability and a fully recyclable system. This role is ideal for a health and safety professional looking to progress in an environmental career.

**Responsibilities**:

- Create and monitor documentation, manuals, and standards
- Ensure operational procedures are in place that adhere to legislation and codes of practice
- Conduct Internal ISO monthly audits and non-conformances and track actions
- Run training sessions for compliance, toolbox talks, and inductions
- Provide Health & Safety advice to management, employees, and external agencies
- Produce a monthly activity report for the Operations Manager
- Undertake risk assessments and investigateincidents, accidents and near misses
- Auditing and reporting on health and safety performance and best practice across all sites
- Create management reports, analyse trends (injuries, near misses and accidents), make recommendations, and adopt change

The Person
- Minimum 3 years’ practical experience in a similar role, ideally in the waste industry
- NEBOSH certificate (Safety & Environmental) or equivalent
- Health & Safety experience (ideally 3 years)
- Experienced in accident/ incident investigation and report writing.
- Experienced in writing and delivering health & safety-related training
- Confident IT skills (Word, PDF, PowerPoint & Excel etc.)
- Experience with ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015, ISO 45001 - managing the manuals and conducting monthly internal audits and hosting annual external audit
- Analytical, proactive, and organised.
- Confident and comfortable presenting to groups of managers
