Assistant Buyer

Role: Assistant Buyer - 12-month FTC
Hours: 9am - 5pm Monday to Friday
Purpose of the role:
To support the Buyer with Product Development, Approvals, Critical Path and Supplier Management. This role would be suitable for someone with some administration experience who is interested in buying, a graduate looking to take on their first role or someonewith buying experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supporting the Buyer in the product development process, maintaining and improving products, ensuring all meet brand requirements.
- Working with the technical team to ensure all products developed and produced meet brand requirements.
- Participate in fit sessions - support proto/fit comment process.
- Ensure any required changes to product are presented to the Buyer with clear information of issues and actions proposed.
- Responsible for sample management. Working with Assistant Designer to ensure samples are logged and stored clearly in the product library for reference, and available for relevant meetings.
- Work closely with design and suppliers and other departments
- Ensure all Ecommerce & Marketing information is correct and up to date/monitoring of product copy.
- Product Critical Path Management
- Full Product set up, including Product Variant creation, issuing of barcodes.
- Issuing of all Pos. Ensuring they are raised, checked, sent to supplier, followed up and amended if required.
- Managing on time delivery of product & photo shoot samples.
Key Skills and Experience
- Proficient in Excel/Outlook/Word.
- Flexible and pragmatic approach to work and tasks, and the changing needs of the business.
- Confident and clear communication skills - verbal and written.
- Ability to prioritise and manage a work schedule whilst working to tight deadlines.
- Ability to work productively alongside all teams across the business.
- Ability to work well in a team but motivated and able to work independently.
**Salary**: £21,000.00-£24,000.00 per year
