Quality Assurance Engineer

We have an exciting opportunity for a Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer to join our Defence Quality Assurance Field Force (DQA-FF). If you are looking to be involved with assuring a variety of high profile and technically complex defence programmes, whilstbeing supported to develop your skills, then this is the role for you

Defence Equipment & Support (DE&S) is passionate about supporting and developing its workforce and this role is no exception; you will be supported and encouraged to develop your specialist knowledge through a structured development program to help you achieveyour MOD Quality Assurance Practitioner Licence and progress towards becoming Chartered Quality Professional. In addition, this role will help you to develop a breadth of skills as outlined by the UK specifications requirements for an Incorporated Engineer(IENG) status.

This is an excellent opportunity for somebody with prior knowledge of NATO, Defence, National and International Quality Management, Quality Assurance and MRP Part 145 requirements knowledge to progress their career and become an integral part of the QA Team.

**Responsibilities for Quality Assurance Engineer** The responsibilities of this post will include, but not be limited to, the following:
As a Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer you will be supported working within small teams of Ministry of Defence (MOD) Licensed and Chartered Quality Professionals, your main responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

- Develop QA surveillance and assurance plans in response to supplier, supply chain and technical risk
- Conduct and manage the delivery of QA surveillance in support of risk management, supplier oversight/assurance, verification, validation, and acceptance
- Provide expert advice and guidance to delivery teams concerning technical and supplier risk
- Support pre-contract award activities and provide specialist technical services
- Main activity is in support of fuselage build activities
- Implement and contribute to MOD Quality Assurance policy for procurement
- Contribute to quality investigations, root cause investigation, internal process performance improvement activities and supplier escalations/interventions
- Have a relevant Level 4 (HNC or higher) engineering or science qualification or demonstrate equivalent experience
- Demonstrate a breadth of industry/manufacturing and quality assurance experience gained from involvement with multiple projects
- Have experience of providing technical advice and delivery of successful engineering outcomes
