Optical Advisor

RECRUITMENTiQ is working in partnership with a modern, well-established independent optical practice in Shotts, Lanarkshire, providing excellence in clinical eyecare.

We are looking for an Optical Advisor with a relaxed, friendly attitude to join our team.

**Skills and Experience**
- Knowledge of commercial and clinical aspects of the optical business would be preferred
- Keen to be involved in all areas of the day-to-day business and eager to contribute
- Be a team player who will enjoy working in our relaxed and friendly practice
- Excellent communication skills
- Be self-motivated, computer confident, and dedicated to customer care

**In this role, you will be responsible for (training will be provided if necessary)**
- General reception/computer-based administration
- First point of contact for customer care, dealing with customer enquiries
- Customer frame styling and dispensing
- Supporting the optometrists
- Fitting of glasses and minor repairs
- Ordering and stock management
- Optical glazing
- Following and implementing our Covid 19 safety protocols
- Cashing up and invoice processing

We are looking for a dedicated and motivated individual who is eager to strengthen our reputation as a great customer service provider in our area. You will be able to build a strong rapport with your working colleagues and customers alike.

You will benefit from the guidance and support of someone with 30 years of optical management experience where fresh ideas are always welcome.

It is a day-shift job that requires working Monday through Friday. Annual salary from £19,800 depending on experience.
