**Bench Joiner/Furniture Maker**

We are a London and Hampshire based creative furniture company designing and manufacturing commercial furniture within the UK. We are currently a team of 50 with ambitious growth plans.

Rawside design and manufacture high quality furniture for the contract market and are currently in the process of launching a new B2C furniture brand. Most of our customers are within the UK but we have recently completed a number of successful projects in Europe and expect to expand these markets. Our environmental credentials are a key part of our business and having recently been certified as a BCorp business we are keen to improve our positive impact on the environment, our community and our team.

**Job description**

Your responsibilities and role will include:
- Assisting in the carpentry works required within our own facility
- Furniture making within workshop making custom items and standard items
- Using a mix of hand tools and bench machinery
- Learning how to manage and use CNC and other machinery
- Bonding, laminating, sanding and preparing
- Assisting in keeping workshop safe and tidy

**Skills Required**:

- Experience in bench joinery or interior carpentry
- Numeracy and literacy skills
- Good verbal communication skills
- Ability to work as part of a team as well as using initiative on your own projects
- Knowledge and ability to work with consideration to Health & Safety standards within a workshop
- Able to be flexible with hours of work in order to meet completion dates

**Qualifications required**:

- Bench Joinery: 1 year (required)

- Salary: £16-19 per hour (dependent upon experience)
- 40-hour week (overtime available)
- Bonus scheme: We operate an annual bonus scheme based upon Company and Personal performance.
- Holidays: 20 days for first year and 25 days thereafter (excluding public holidays)
- BUPA Healthcare after 6-months
