Rainsford and Lynes is a family business in a group with Bullfinch (Gas Equipment).

We make engineering components and assemblies, and Gas Equipment.

**Purpose of the Role**:

- Support the Accounts Office Manager and the Buyer, in the day to day running of the business

**Main duties and responsibilities**:

- Daily reconciliation of company bank accounts
- Operation of Sage 1000 system
- Raising customer invoices, promptly and accurately
- Posting of cash received to customer’s accounts
- Dealing with customer queries and requests
- Answering telephone calls
- Raising Supplier Purchase Orders, checking prices of goods ordered, progress chasing
- Matching supplier invoices with delivery notes, checking prices and coding of invoice
- Input and coding of Purchase invoices to the Sage system
- Weekly Payroll (Sage 50) for two companies
- Raising of supplier BACs payments
- Ad hoc duties relating to Sales/Accounts or Buying Office

**Person Specification**:

- A good standard of Education including passes in GCSE English and Maths

**Key Skills**:

- Experience of Sage 50 Payroll, desirable but not essential
- Experience of Sage Accounting Software would be useful
- High level of numeracy
- Attention to detail
- Ability to prioritise own workload
- Good communication skills (Written and Verbal)
- Some Excel knowledge/experience would be an advantage
