**Job Title**:Finance Administrator (Purchase Ledger)
**Reports to**:Finance Officer
The Finance Administrator (Purchase Ledger) will report to the Finance Officer and will be primarily responsible for the daily operation of the purchase ledger function for Lancing College, Lancing College Preparatory Schools and Lancing College Enterprises Ltd (the school’s trading subsidiary). The post holder will carry out the key tasks and responsibilities outlined below:
**Key Tasks and Responsibilities**:
- Registering and coding of purchase invoices, distributing invoices for approval, answering supplier queries and reconciling supplier statements.
- Processing staff expense claims
- Preparing twice monthly payment runs
- Supporting the wider finance team with tasks as they arise.
- Filing and general office duties.
**Required Skills, Qualifications and Personal Qualities**:
**Essential**
- Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
- Strong organisational, interpersonal and communication skills.
- The ability to prioritise work to meet strict deadlines whilst maintaining accuracy of work.
- Approachable, personable, and able to deal with a wide variety of people.
- An understanding of double entry book-keeping.
**Desirable**
- Knowledge of using iSAMS and iFinance.
- Previous accounting experience in a school environment.
