**L&D Business Partner**

**Chemring Energetics UK is a global business providing a range of equipment based on energetic materials for defence, civil defence and key commercial customers.** **An exciting and challenging opportunity has arisen for an L&D People Partner.**
- Key Accountabilities & Duties: _
- Utilise effective collaboration and partner with managers to help to shape, develop and deliver a competency framework that identifies core technical/professional competencies, career pathways and function progression routes.
- Oversee Early Careers activity on site including implementation of apprenticeships and trainee/graduate programmes.
- Perform training needs assessment to identify knowledge gaps and support managers to develop and coach their team members through appropriate solutions to meet identified training needs.
- Manage and co-ordinate new start induction and training.
- Ensure there is a robust process and procedure in place for employee training record management which meets CEUK, statutory and ISO requirements. Monitor and audit effectiveness.
- Support the implementation and development of an LMS platform
- Develop coaching and mentoring frameworks and partnerships within CEUK and externally.
- Monitor and evaluate learning and development providers, liaising regularly with vendors to ensure required standards are met and maintained.
- Develop and deliver in-house learning, training and development options through a variety of innovative channels.
- Optimise Learning and Development activity to ensure cost effective and within budget including sourcing and accessing suitable external funding support.
- Keep up to date with developments in learning methods and techniques and implement as appropriate.
- Principle business contact for all advice and guidance on training and development enquiries.
- Working in partnership with HR and the Leaders in the business to embed a culture of continuous learning within the Company.
- Support the HR team with organisational change and key people initiatives
- Actively engage with business stakeholders to understand business strategy and current / future learning needs to ensure L&D plans are appropriately aligned.
- A proactive and positive attitude with a focus on opportunities rather than limitations.
- Ability to help build and create processes that are currently not in place and have the skills to navigate the constantly changing priorities.
- Experience in coordinating activities across multiple departments
- Experience with traditional and modern training methods (classroom training, e learning, workshops, mentoring etc.)
- Qualifications/Experience: _
- Current knowledge of effective learning and development methods
- Familiarity with e-learning platforms and practices
- Experience in project management and budgeting
- Proficient in MS Office and Learning Management Systems (LMS)
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Ability to build rapport with employees and vendors
- CIPD Certificate in Training or recognised training qualification
