We have an excellent new position available for the Summer, with a great chance to join a friendly and active team

This is an integral part of the team, working alongside various departments to ensure the harvest and upkeep of the orchard is the main priority.

Working 35-40 hours per week, flexible across the week. Paying £13.50-£14.50 DOE.

**About the role**:

- Year-round management of the Orchards. Working closely with the Assistant Estates Manager and any external consultant to maximise the yield of the Orchard. Orchard activities can include, harvest, spraying, pruning etc.
- Liaising with Orchard consultant and Assistant Estates Manager to design Orchard Plan based on the recommendations of the consultant and any other relevant guidance.
- Keeping Orchards tidy, clear from weeds and safe. Ensuring they are visibly appealing to all visitors.
- Ensuring relevant paperwork and checklists are completed accurately and in good time.
- As directed by the Assistant Estates Manager undertake general landscaping work, in the Orchards, at the Farm.
- Work closely with our external contractors to manage rodent control both on site and in the Orchards.
- Maintain the fencing, gates and any outbuildings in the Orchards and on the Farm
- Assist the Vineyard Manager. Duties can include pruning, harvest, spraying and general horticultural tasks

**Skills Required**:

- Tractor Licence
- Spraying certificates - PA1, PA3 and PA6 - a must have
- Industry recognised Chainsaw certificate
- Telehandler qualification
- Recognised Health and Safety qualification or experience
