**Job description**

If you are someone who likes to work in a fast paced environment, has at least one year's experience supervising within the Food Industry, and has initiative and a good work ethic then you could be just what we are looking for.

Working closely with and as a key part of the production team, the purpose of the role is to manage the employees within the packing area. To assist and work alongside the other departments, ensuring they have all equipment needed as and when it is needed.

The successful applicant will be confident with their supervisory skills and proficient with working with processes as well as under pressure to meet deadlines.

Main duties include (but are not limited to):

- Provide effective leadership at an operational level to all packing operatives.
- Ensure all quality standards are met and customer specifications are adhered to.
- Organise staff, delegate tasks and deal with day to day staffing issues as necessary.
- Attend and complete employee reviews, return to work interviews, probationary reviews, disciplinaries etc. as necessary.
- Adhere to company policies, procedures and working practices always.

You must be
- Resourceful and adaptable
- Willing to change tasks or departments as production requires
- Able to communicate easily with all other staff and able to understand the company written records and documents.
- Able to carry out the tasks that would be reasonably required.
- Minimum one year's food industry experience.
- Comfortable with handling and finishing of food which involves long periods of standing, lifting and carrying as well as other tasks such as cleaning.
