We are recruiting an enthusiastic and dependable outdoor Trainee Nursery Assistant to join our team at Hillier, Liss (Hampshire) in our open ground, tree production nursery.

You will have the opportunity to work with an established and renowned family business of over 150 years within the horticulture industry, growing your skills and experience with our knowledgeable production team.

This is an outdoor role where we provide training on every stage of the tree growing process and if you enjoy working outdoors and have a passion for horticulture or arboriculture this will be an ideal role for you.

If you wish to combine on the job training with further education, we will be happy to sponsor you through college on a day release basis, to achieve your Level 3 Crop Technician qualification.

**We are offering a rate of pay of up to £10.42 per hour which may be further negotiable if you have relevant previous experience. In peak season you will also have an opportunity to work overtime at enhanced overtime rates.**

Due to the nature of the role, you must be prepared to work outside in all weather conditions and be capable of undertaking physically demanding tasks.

**Responsibilities**:

- Plant husbandry
- Plant care and pest monitoring
- Tree lifting, prepping, and packing for customer orders
- All aspects of tree care and production
- General nursery maintenance and adhoc tasks
- Passion for horticulture or arboriculture
- Selfdriven and motivated with excellent attention to detail
- Proactive
- Enjoy working within a team
