Financial Accountant

Hoop Professional Services are currently working with a very well known, well established private sector organisation who are currently looking for additional support within their finance team in their Nantgarw and are looking for a financial accountantto join them on a 3-month temporary contract.

This will be an amazing opportunity to join a very notable organisation which will be a great addition to any CV. They also offer hybrid working and can offer flexibility as well.

Responsibilities include:

- Producing detailed statutory accounts
- Processing VAT returns
- Bank reconciliations
- Cashflow forecasts
- Treasury management
- Managing cash balances
- Balance sheet reconciliations
- Managing supplier payments
- Month end responsibilities
- reconciliations, ensuring control accounts are balanced, producing required reports,
- Lead on the annual stock take
- Liaising with internal and external auditors and act as a key point of contact
- Any other ad hoc responsibilities

Person specification:

- A background in public sector is ideal but not essential if you have the right experience
- Having implemented the new IFRS16 in a team would be very desirable
- Strong experience with producing detailed statutory accounts
- Qualified would be desirable but again for the right experience can accept PQ or QBE
- Strong Excel skills
- able to manage large data sets
- Management experience desirable

This role will be assisting the team with year end so it will be a busy role but really engaging and an amazing opportunity even on the shorter term
