**Contract Length**: Initial 6-months (expected to extend multiple times)

**Hybrid Model**:2 days per week in **Central London**, 3 days remote

**Project**: End-of-life Windows server project (Windows / SQL Server / Linux environment)

**About the Client and the Role**:
My client, a globally renowned financial organisation is seeking an experienced **Platform Engineer **to provide hands-on input into the continuous development and support of their infrastructure.

The engineer will often be expected to work alongside other development and testing teams to provide hands-on support throughout QA and functional tests.

**Main Responsibilities**:

- **Build and Release Management**:

- Utilising **Ansible / Ansible Tower** for deployment and release
- Provide support and input to functional and non-functional testing, acting as point of contact during QA testing
- Deploying technology and tools into infrastructure
- Strong background in platform development / similar DevOps roles
- Good experience in **build and release**:

- Strong scripting skills: **PowerShell AND Python** (Bash, Ruby, Go, Groovy or equivalent)
- **Automation (Ansible)**:Strong practical experience and knowledge of automation for deployment - experience with **Ansible** is essential.
- Great experience in **Windows / Linux / SQL Server **environments
