Banana Split Productions is a post production company based at Elstree Film Studios. We have our own on-site edit suites and graphics facilities, with a talented team of in-house producers, editors and GFX designers. We specialise in reversioning trailers and commercials.

Reversioning involves taking a final trailer from a client and changing it to suit international audiences. Typically this means adding subtitles, remixing audio and adding GFX provided by our Motion designer. It can also involve modifying the shape to suit the various Social Media platforms. This process also applies to TV and Cinema.

Banana Split Productions are looking for an Editor to join our team.

The role is suited to an Editor experienced in Adobe Premiere and Avid Media Composer who is happy working and collaborating in a small team with another editor.

We output hundreds of deliverables each week so you need to be extremely organised and prepared to work specifically on re-versioning projects. You need to have a real eye for detail and a fondness for subtitling and audio mixing.

All applicants should have a minimum of 1 year’s consistent working experience in a Post Production environment. A minimum of 3 days in the Elstree office are required per week with the remainder of the time working remotely from home.

Key duties would include:

- Subtitling and Audio Mixing many languages for international audiences.
- Reversioning trailers & commercials for various platforms (TV broadcast, Cinema and Social Media)
- Liaising with Motion Graphic Designers and Producers
- File management and project organisation
- Import and export of video files
- Ensuring Broadcast files comply with technical codes for ClearCast and TV Stations
- File encoding and QC
- Uploading files for approval and delivery

Skills required are:

- Proficient in Adobe Premiere and Avid Media Composer (comfortable jumping between the two)
- Good understanding of frame-rates, field issues, video resolution and codecs.
- Ability to mix audio within the editing software
- Ability to problem solve
- Management of workflow in a fast-paced environment while being proactive in the face of schedule changes
- Ability to remain calm under the pressure of tight deadlines
- Great communication and almost militant organisational skills
- Excellent attention to detail
