**Previous experience in Ocean Import Operator is essential.**

The role of **Ocean Import Operator **is working for a leading, **Birmingham-based**, multimodal Freight Forwarding and Logistics organisation.

Duties will include:

- Managing key account customers.
- Responsible for the end-to-end import process, from pre-alert through to delivery.
- Preparing quotations/rates and working with in-house tariffs.
- Arranging and processing import bookings.
- Processing import documentation.
- Preparing import customs declarations to handover to the brokerage department.
- Responsible for billing out and invoicing import files.
- Dealing with customers, keeping them updated and aiming for resolution.
- Liaising with overseas partners and offices.
- Handle Oceanfreight import, FCL and LCL shipments.
- Has previous experience within Ocean Imports.
- Strong knowledge of customs regulations and commercial awareness.
- A strong attention to detail and a willingness to learning.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work in a customer-focussed environment.
