**Air Import Customer Service Coordinator**
Our freight forwarding client is looking to recruit a dynamic and customer focused Air Import Customer Service Specialist to join their growing Air Operation in Hounslow.
WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?
Reporting into the Air Import Customer Service Manager, you will act as the key contact for customers and managers supporting with operational processes including obtaining Customs clearance instructions, confirming delivery/vehicle requirements, queries,customer requests, complaints and issues whilst providing swift remedial actions, collecting VAT and duty payments.
You will use your customer service and communication skills to build and develop relationships with your customers, and proactively monitor shipment progress ensuring the customers are kept informed at every milestone of the process and any delays or issuesare communicated in a timely manner.
Alongside your day-to-day role you may also be required to provide spot quotations and up-and-cross-sell on inbound customer calls passing on leads to sales teams to generate further business.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR..
To be considered for this role you will need demonstrable experience working within an **import**-based freight forwarding role. While a dedicated Customs Team will complete any Customs clearances, an understanding of the workings of Import Customs Entries is essential (for example IPR, Temporary imports, Home Use, CVED). Experiencewith Cargowise or Salesforce systems would be an advantage but not compulsory to be a successful applicant.
You will need to be a highly organised team worker that shows initiative and able to work in a fast-paced environment whilst adhering to tight timescales and be able to think on your feet and problem solve to provide workable solutions to customers.
This is a Monday - Friday position starting at 9am and finishing at 6pm with an hour’s lunchbreak. There will be occasional overtime expected at weekends and evenings. Any requested overtime will be paid in addition to your salary.
