Elite Forest School is a small, close knit team that travels to numerous Primary
Schools across Yorkshire, Humber & Lincolnshire, providing children with exciting, educational & valuable opportunities on a weekly basis facilitating a high quality outdoor education.

Typically each session is delivered to 15 children, accompanied by a member of
School Staff, for 60-90 minutes on a weekly basis. In most schools we have a semi-permanent outdoor classroom complete with seating and shelter from the elements.

With the country's children returning to schools what better time to get involved and help reconnect a generation with the natural world?

PERSON SPECIFICATION
**Essential Applicant Qualities**:
Level 3 Forest School Leader qualification
Hold or pass a full DBS check
Experience working with children and young people in an outdoor environment
Creative, resourceful role model for children and young people
Ability to manage your own time & work to deadlines
Be comfortable working both alone and as part of a team
Ability to self manage and adapt to pressures
Experience assessing risks and record keeping

**Desirable Applicant Qualities**:
Current First Aid Qualification
As the role requires the practitioner to travel to various venues a reliable method of transport is needed

You want to facilitate learning experiences which set strong foundations for children to be confident learners and critical thinkers
Getting a little muddy isn't a problem and every now and again you have more fun than the children
You are ready to inspire the next generation

**Areas of Responsibility and Key Tasks**:
To plan, prepare and deliver a range of Forest School sessions, with guidance/instruction from the Head of Department and support from assistants as appropriate
To supervise and support clients with varying needs while delivering sessions
To create and maintain an engaging, fun and supportive environment, demonstrating flexibility in planning and running sessions in response to varying/changing needs of children
To ensure that all sessions are well prepared
To be aware of and comply with all Elite Forest School Policies and Procedures
To participate in training and other learning activities/meetings as required
To administer basic first aid as the need arises
To observe confidentiality at all times
To undertake all duties reasonably requested by the Head of
Department
Hours - Variable depending on bookings, part-time, self employed
Salary - £20 per hour
