Maelor Forest Nurseries Ltd is located at Fields Farm, Bronington on the Welsh Borders. The nursery produces an extensive range of commercial forestry and native broadleaf species, marketing approximately 33 million trees a year to customers throughout the UK and Europe. We are seeking an Accounts Assistant to join our busy team. This is an exciting time to join the business, especially with our continued growth plans.

**Purchase Ledger Assistant**:

- **Bronington**:

- **Monday/Wednesday/Friday 9.00am-5.000pm**:
As a key member of the finance team at Maelor, your role as a Purchase Ledger Assistant will be to support the Finance department through the efficient and accurate processing of purchase invoices.

**Specifically, some responsibilities of a Purchase Ledger Assistant may include**:

- Processing purchase invoices, including matching to purchase orders and entering onto the accounting software.
- Ensuring all invoices are authorized for payment by the relevant manager.
- Preparing weekly supplier payment runs
- Reconciling supplier statements and liaising with suppliers to resolve any disputes.
- Provide other general administration and support duties where required.

**About you**:
Already experienced in purchase ledger, preferably providing support within a growing business, you’ll have a solid understanding of purchase ledger fundamentals and best practice. In addition, you’ll have:

- A strong background in data input
- A keen attention to detail and the ability to work to tight deadlines in a fast pace, growing business.
- Excellent computer skills across all Microsoft programmes.
- Excellent communication and people skills.
