**Job Purpose**
- The Trader - Commodity Sales is responsible for maximizing the business value of all products sold to assigned International or Domestic markets through effective sales activities to achieve the business unit goals.

**Key Accountabilities**
- 1. Provide pricing to customers based on product availability and the market knowledge.
- 2. Negotiate pricing of products on a periodic basis with customers
- 3. Negotiation of contracts with assigned customers that meet or exceed targets
- 4. Identify and establish new accounts and business opportunities
- 5. Champion new business development opportunities in the marketplace, with particular focus on ‘added value’ opportunities
- 6. Coordination with Production and Logistics teams to ensure customer requirements are met
- 7. Preparation of reports and forecasts to ensure business makes optimal decision
- 8. Travel as required to further develop business and customer relations
- 9. Keep current on knowledge and development in Pork Industry and understanding of impact
- 10. Provide cover for annual leave
- 11. Manage surplus inventory and daily push list to drive the best return for the organisation
- 12. Stay current with the Global Pork Market
- 13. Calls on customers
- Manages a list of over 20 customers on a weekly basis.**Skills and Experience Required**
- 1. Undergraduate Degree in Business
- 2. Strong understanding of the Pork Value Chain from production through to processing
- 3. Excellent understanding of supply chain
- 4. Effective data collection and analytical skills
- 5. Computer - Microsoft; database management
- 6. Valid UK Driving Licence**Key Challenges**
