Trainee Accountant

We're looking to recruit a trainee to join us in our office on Wilton Road in Melton Mowbray.

In this role you will learn, in the first year or so, how to compile a set of accounts and see all the complexities involved in this. You'll be producing your work digitally although working from a mixture of manual and digital client records.

No experience is necessary but we are looking for someone who can demonstrate a solid understanding of logic, reasoning and who has a good mathematical understanding too. Applicants to this role need to have an excellent standard of written English.

We don't offer apprenticeships, meaning the starting salary at our firm is set along the lines of a regular salary, starting at national minimum wage with a view to increase as you progress. We want the brightest and best people in our business and we look after those who choose to work for us.

R W Jarvis is now part of the Gilroy Finance Group which is an East Midlands group of accountancy firms, trading under a range of brands. This means that although this role will be based in our Melton office and primarily working for clients who engage with this office, there are many more opportunities for development across the wider business.
