Are you passionate about Residential Care for Children and young people, do you want to make a real difference for children who live in residential settings, if so, this could be the job for you

Contract details: This is a permanent full-time role with a mix of office and home working to suit the needs of the organisation and to assist with your own work life balance. Admin support for this role is available at our Hawthorns site in Burton Upon Trent.

We’re looking for a passionate and committed leader who can drive our children’s residential service forward. You’ll do this by developing innovative approaches to practice in collaboration with internal and external partners and by providing short break packages to stabilise life at home or in residential placements. All with an aim to secure the right outcome for our young people, whether that’s to return home or move to alternative living arrangements where going home is not an option.

It's a great time to join us as we’re adopting a clinical model in our residential settings. This means taking a therapeutic approach to our residential offer, so that we have clinicians providing a range of innovative services which strive to be:
psychologically informed,
attachment and trauma responsive,

And this then means the great work we do is meaningful for each individual child or young person.

As our Residential Lead you’ll need to:
To be social work qualified with SWE registration
Have a relevant management qualification or substantial management experience
Have substantial knowledge and experience of managing residential services for children and young people, along with the related regulatory framework and safeguarding
Provide leadership for 5 residential settings across Staffordshire in Burton Upon Trent, Cannock, Stafford and Tamworth locations
Leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate others in what can be a challenging environment

Above all, you’ll have the resilience to lead the service through the challenging times, knowing the difference you and your team are making to children and young people.
