Our client is well known in the North Staffordshire area. They provide support to the local community all year round and they are looking for a Lottery Administrator.
The Lottery takes place 52 weeks of the year and is a huge part of their fundraising activities
**Job Description**:
As part of the Lottery Team ensure all processes are completed accurately using an in-house lottery database. This role involves administrative duties demonstrating excellent team player skills. As well daily and weekly deadlines are adhered to processes, ensuringthe Dougie Mac lottery draw takes place 52 weeks of the year.
- Provide administration support, using in-house systems to ensure the weekly Douglas Macmillan Hospice
- the lottery takes place 52 weeks of the year.
- Must demonstrate the ability to work without close supervision using own initiative to a significant level.
- Maintain Effective and efficient administration processes assisting with the weekly reconciliation of all lotteries
- payments and providing audit trails for both in-house and external auditing purposes.
- Receive incoming telephone calls ensuring excellent relationships with hospice supporters are always maintained.
- Ensure all payment handling and banking is undertaken daily.
- Ensure all new lottery plays are entered onto the database accurately so payments can be received within the timescales and entered in the draw, highlighting and resolving discrepancies.
- Ensure the highest level of accuracy is maintained at those best practices in administration and compliance are always adhered to.
- Responsible for pre-set administration tasks relating to each seasonal raffle and scratch card sales.
- Ensure all payment handling and banking is undertaken daily.
- Action administration because of the in-house calling team contacting supporters daily, will include updating spreadsheets and the in-house database.
- Provide all administration relating to promotional activities
- Assist with processing lottery player amendments such as change of address.
- Understand the importance of society lottery gaming laws and the Data Protection Act.
- Used to adopting a professional approach.
- Used to working in a busy office and in a team environment.
- Experience in working regularly with Excel spreadsheets.
- Experience of working in a financial/accounts environment
- To maintain strict confidentiality and always adhere to data protection policies.
- To observe and maintain security procedures.
- Exercise responsible stewardship of hospice resources always.
- Attendance at meetings events and activities may require the post holder to work beyond the normal hours/days of work quite regularly - flexibility is essential.
- To have an understanding and demonstrate regard for the Hospice philosophy and its functions.
- Travel in the Stoke on Trent / North Staffordshire area, and on occasions within the UK, to attend and participate in training and personal development opportunities, using own vehicle or public transport, for which expenses will be met in line with policiesin the staff handbook.
- Sound knowledge & regularly use IT systems i.e.: Microsoft Outlook, Word & Excel.
- Knowledge & experience in using an in-house database which administers income/customer records.
- High standard of numeracy skills
Hours: Tuesday - Friday 9:00am - 5:00pm

**Salary**: £19,070 per Annum
