On offer is a role where no two days will be the same: we have an exciting opportunity for a Service Advisor / Workshop controller to oversee the daily operations of the service reception & workshop within our vibrant Motorhome & Campervan dealership.
You must be an enthusiastic and motivated character with a positive attitude as this is not just an office-based role stuck behind a computer screen It will involve driving Motorhomes & Campervans to local service providers and helping to provide occasional hands-on assistance to our own workshop technicians.
You’ll be the face of the service desk providing a high level of service to our customers. Arranging their bookings, greeting and making them feel welcome when they arrive onsite and dealing with customer enquiries and queries promptly and efficiently.
Building a good rapport with our offsite service providers is essential, as each week we have to organise MOT’s, New vehicle PDI’s, routine services and installation of security systems. This really is an exciting, challenging, rewarding and diverse role.
**The ideal Service Advisor -**
- Previous experience in an automotive background service role is preferred.
- A passion to deliver a excellent standard of customer service.
- An organised individual who can deal with many duties on the move.
- Excellent telephone and face-to-face communication skills
- Administration skills, be able to use computers with confidence and the ability to organise and prioritise work.
- Clean UK driving license with C1 entitlement.
- Good team player
**Service Advisor key responsibilities -**
- Dealing with motorhome / campervan maintenance requirements and fitment of accessories to both customers and our own stock. Booking in of customers vehicles for Habitation services, Water ingress checks and routine servicing.
- Planning and co-ordinating technicians’ workload, for fitting of workshop accessories and Habitation services, meeting customer requirements and maximising workshop utilisation and profitability.
- Manage and follow up all work in progress on customer vehicles, liaise regularly with the customer and other service and sales team members of weekly resource planning/available workshop hours to meet pre-arranged time frames.
- Identify and report warranty repairs and additional repairs, upselling where appropriate.
- Establish rapport with and provide outstanding care to the customer, and with our off-site service providers for MOT’s, PDI’s and mechanical services.
- Manage workshop health and safety, ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation and company policies.
- Experience working in the Caravan & Motorhome industry is preferred however non-essential as the successful applicant will need to learn the industry and the day-to-day jobs of this role.
This is a full time, permanent position with an immediate start date available. The position is for a 5-day week, working Monday - Friday, plus one Saturday per Month. Business opening hours are 08.30 - 17.30 Monday to Saturday.
**Salary**: £32,000.00-£36,000.00 per year
