As a Ranger, most of your time will be spent outside, undertaking maintenance of Pitsford, Ravensthorpe and Hollowell Waters, managing the fisheries and ensuring the infrastructure is in good condition. You’ll be in constant contact with our visitors and part of your role will be to provide excellent customer service whilst enforcing our park bylaws when required.

You’ll be responsible for carrying out safety inspections and routine repairs as well as putting forward recommendations for improvements that will have a positive impact on our customer’s experience. To ensure our visitors have a safe and pleasurable visit you’ll maintain our cycling and walking paths, keep our car parks tidy, organise and deliver fishing events, carry out land and woodland management and work closely with the Head Range and volunteers to keep our visitors safe.

What does it take to be a Park Ranger

Experience in the management and maintenance of country parks and/or fisheries
Advantageous if you have a land management and/or water based practical qualifications
Excellent interpersonal skills and strive to deliver outstanding customer service around Pitsford, Ravensthorepe and Hollowell Waters
A willingness to work with volunteers
Practical and hands on
