IT Project Manager - Legal - Hybrid working

This is a very rare opportunity to join this top 50 law firm as a Project Manager within the IT & technology function. My client is a major law firm with offices all over the UK and is currently experiencing growth across IT

Experience required:

- At least 3+ years as a Project Manager within IT Change, Software Change, or Software development lifecycle. You must have been in a PM role that you are involved from inception to signing off
- Excellent practical understanding of project management techniques, methods, and tools.
- Along with your project management experience, you should have good business analysis skills to create user stories and feed this into the software engineers
- Be able to bring different areas of the business together, gather requirements and create the most viable technical solutions
- Excellent Stakeholder management experience, be a critical thinker, and challenge the norm
- Waterfall and Agile experience
- Experience in using Microsoft Project, or an equivalent tool, to plan, manage and track projects
- Dig for information, and stakeholder management and find what is the best solution
- Have to be accountable and be able to improve the project management process.
- Need to be able to look for improvements, be more efficient and streamlined

This is an exciting Project Manager role in which you will be road-mapping & leading new projects for 2023. 230 people in IT and 5 people in the growing projects team.

you are responsible for defining and delivering high-quality IT projects that form part of the program of change across the entire IT department. I am not necessarily looking for someone that's been involved with large volume projects, but more so someonethat has dealt with fewer projects and headed them from start to finish.

It's important that you can communicate well with business stakeholders to find out what they want, be a critical thinker to draw that information from them and not be afraid to push back or give your own ideas.

The Information Technology department is currently delivering a project portfolio that is on the back of unprecedented investment in technology for the firm. The IT team has doubled over the last 2 years and the firm is still on a trajectory to sustain thisfor the next few years.
