- The Water Consultancy Division is the centre of excellence within Mott MacDonald for responding to water and wastewater challenges, providing support to colleagues across our global business, and offering fantastic opportunities to get involved in diverse and technically challenging work. With sustainability, social impacts, digitalisation, and carbon reduction in mind, our diverse and multi-disciplinary teams work together to provide a variety of services throughout the full project life-cycle, from advisory services and feasibility studies, through outline and detailed design, to construction support and site supervision.**Overview of role**
- As a Process Safety Advisor you will be responsible for supporting and developing the growing workload in the field of explosive atmospheres and ideally other process safety activities (for example, HAZOP and LOPA facilitation). This is an opportunity to develop your skills, knowledge and experience. You will be an integral part of world class design teams and have a high impact on the projects you are involved with.- Key elements of the role include:
- Assisting in the management of a growing team of DSEAR practitioners around the United Kingdom and worldwide
- Providing support and coaching to more junior members of staff involved in DSEAR related activities
- Promoting awareness of DSEAR across the business
- Preparation and review of reports assessing potentially explosive atmospheres
- Developing client relationships
- Other elements of the role may include:
- HAZOP facilitation
- LOPA facilitation
- Dispersion modelling
- COMAH reporting
- Essential:
- Have a recognised professional qualification such as Chartered Engineer or Incorporated Engineer or sufficient equivalent experience
- Have knowledge, understanding and experience of assessing potentially explosive atmospheres
- Be proactive with good organisational capability
- Have the ability to work to budgets and time constraints
- Desirable:
- Have a demonstrable interest in wider process safety
- Be keen to work in a collaborative environment
