**Plassey Golf Club**, a family owned and run company is recruiting for an **Assistant Greenkeeper** for its parkland course nestled in 250 acres of park and woodland in the picturesque Dee Valley, North Wales.

The successful applicant should be trained to NVQ Level 2/3 or equivalent in turf management and ideally also hold the PA1, PA2 and PA6 spraying certification.

**You will also be able to demonstrate**:

- Greenkeeping and agronomy skills together with high standards of course preparation and detail.
- Assist the Head Greenkeeper in the upkeep and preparation of the course.
- Knowledge of fertilisers, preventative treatments and when they should be used.
- Competent in the use of a wide variety of machinery & basic machine maintenance.
- A good understanding of Health & Safety legislation as it applies to the role and the ability to complete the associated administrative tasks.
- Ability to work on own and within a team.
- Experience in completing an effective grass cutting routine for the course and knowledge in monitoring the health of the turf and to detect and address potential issues on the course in a timely manner.
- Deputise for the Head Greenkeeper as and when required.

The position is full time offering 42.5 hours per week. Full flexibility to work weekends when required and early mornings is essential to meet the needs of the business.
