An exciting opportunity has arisen at our Ilkeston Waste Treatment and Recycling Facility for a motivated individual to join the team at a leading waste management company. The position is for a Plant Operative working outdoors with equipment and machinery which process and treat industrial waste. The Plant Operative’s main duties include:

- Operate plant and equipment to process industrial waste.
- Operate mobile plant such as fork-lift trucks.
- Routine basic inspection/maintenance of assigned plant.
- Undertake minor cleaning duties to keep the site clean and tidy.

Plant Operatives are required to work 48 hours a week Monday to Friday. There is the possibility of bonused overtime including weekends and night shifts.

1 hour daily paid break.

FLT licence desirable but not essential. All appropriate training will be provided in order for you to competently carry out your duties. The job is varied and has potential for progression.

Basic hourly rate negotiable according to skills and experience.
