**Who you’ll be supporting & more about the role**:
- The service comprises of 12 individual flats and a communal area where we meet with other tenants and we like to sit and speak with support staff.
- We are different in lots of ways (that’s what makes us so interesting) with various age ranges from 18-65.
- Most of us are fairly mobile, some of us need a little bit of physical assistance to get around our house and out and about so you need to be reasonably fit as there will be Moving and Positioning. We have different challenges in our lives which include learning disabilities and mental health. We have a staff team who are all trained and familiar with supporting someone with similar needs. We would not enjoy spending time with people who are bossy, pushy, running around, shouting or very noisy as it would tend to make a few of us upset. We want you to be very flexible and resilient.
There is shared space in the home where we can eat together and chat which includes the kitchen, dining room and sitting room.
- There is always at least 3 colleagues on shift.
- We like our staff to work** Mornings **7am** to **3**pm**, Afternoon **3**pm** to **10**pm** and Nights **10**pm** to **7am**. We also have a Sleep In shift.
- In order to support us to have the Best Life Possible our team have specialist training in Percutaneous endoscopic gastrostomy (PEG) is the preferred route of feeding and nutritional support in patients with a functional gastrointestinal system who require long-term enteral nutrition.
