Skene Group was founded in June 1968, originally involved in plant contracting. The company has diversified into being one of the UK’s leading independent operators in the construction supply sector.

We currently have a vacancy for a General Quarry Maintenance Operative, based at our Soutra Mains Quarry in the Scottish Borders.

Applicants should have experience of working in a quarrying environment or similar and be willing to work in a hands on role with basic maintenance tasks / re-fuelling Plant and Machinery & Operating Mobile Plant when required.

Working in this busy environment, you will be responsible for the daily inspections, maintenance and housekeeping associated with your work role.

There is overtime included in the daily working hours which is paid at time and a half.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
