Are you ready to build a rewarding career in healthcare communications? Cence is looking for an enthusiastic, organized individual to join our team of publications experts who partner with pharmaceutical clients to maximize the understanding of scientific evidence.
**The role**
As an editorial assistant at Cence, you’ll perform an integral role in the planning and delivery of high-quality publications for our global pharmaceutical clients and, in collaboration with our in-house Design and Digital teams, you will help to facilitate the development of visually appealing, innovative content that aims to maximize the understanding of scientific evidence.
This is a unique opportunity to be part of a supportive, fast-paced environment and gain exposure to a variety of projects, including publications, digitally enhanced content, and scientific meetings.
This full-time role can be based from one of our UK locations, Bollington (Cheshire), Dundee, Manchester, Oxford or Richmond (London), with home-working flexibility.
**Key responsibilities**
- Provide support to our Cence editorial and commercial teams, including compiling abstract submission guidelines for scientific congresses; liaison with scientific congresses and journals regarding submissions; obtaining materials required for submissions; and performing literature searches
- Assist in coordinating project bookings with our Design team; handling printing and shipping for scientific posters; and developing itineraries for scientific congress attendance
- Help to maintain and update databases, such as EndNote reference libraries
- Contribute innovative ideas for sharing scientific information within the publications landscape
- Work effectively and professionally with AMICULUM colleagues, client teams, authors and collaborators
**What you’ll need**
- A good academic background in the life sciences, with an interest in scientific communication and the publications landscape
- Excellent organizational skills and an aptitude for working on multiple projects that require initiative and strict deadline management
- Keen attention to detail and a commitment to delivering accurate work
- Self-motivation and a strong sense of accountability enabling you to take responsibility for completing your tasks to a high standard
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, enabling effective teamwork
- You will be an enthusiastic team member, collaborating with colleagues both locally and internationally to help deliver industry-leading client service
