For the last 8 years, my client has been working towards the goal of decarbonizing the power system through lower carbon sources. They are a major player in this mission, building, owning and operating infrastructure that is able to balance the grid supplyand demand.
They are an IPP, working on various onshore renewable generation sites across England and Scotland. Besides a more sustainable power system for the UK, their main goal is to become the UK's leader in the flexible IPP market by 2030.
They have an incredible business plan, set to double their team and pipeline. Their portfolio currently stands just short of 1 GW, with an additional 11GW in various stages of development. A vital role in this exciting plan is a brand-new role, leading theirgrid development strategy. You'll be working alongside multiple stakeholders, both internal and external to achieve these goals.
Experience with DNO or NGET would be highly valuable as a key responsibility is to liaise with these groups as well as to manage these relationships. Strong knowledge of the UK grid network would also be extremely valuable, as you'll be overseeing connectionsthrough to delivery stages of projects. You'd also be one of the key technical heads of the team supporting projects as a specialist, offering engineering knowledge at each stage of the project.
