Overview

We are looking for trustworthy, well-presented front of house staff to supplement our existing team. Contingent on their placement, front of house staff may be responsible for greeting guests, escorting them to their tables, and conveying their requests to kitchen staff. You should also provide customers with a cheque upon completion of their meal. To be successful as front of house staff, you should be outgoing, personable, and adept at stress management

Front of House team member responsibilities include ensuring tables are clean and tidy when guests arrive, presenting menus and serving food and beverages. You need to be quick on your feet (literally and metaphorically) and have a polite and friendly attitude. If you enjoy talking to people and thrive in a fast-paced workplace, we’d like to meet you.

Your ultimate goal will be to provide high-quality service that will help us maintain and attract customers.

We are able to offer anywhere from 5-20 hours a week starting at £7/per hour (age dependent).

About You

You must be:

**Responsibilities**:

- Deliver food orders from the kitchen to guests with speed and accuracy.
- Receiving and confirming walk-in, telephone, and online reservations.
- Act as the contact point between Front of the House and Back of the House staff.
- Communicate food orders to chefs, paying attention to priorities and special requests (e.g. food allergies).
- Check in with customers and take additional orders, provide condiments or refill water, as needed.
- Clearing glassware, silverware, and crockery from each table once guests have completed their meals, or upon request.
- Directing early arrivals to the bar as they wait for their tables to become available.
- Answer guests ’questions about ingredients, menu items and allergens.
- Prepare restaurant tables with special attention to sanitation and details about table layouts.
- Collaborate with other restaurant servers and kitchen/bar teams.
- Deal with complaints or problems with a positive attitude.
- Issue bills and accept payment.
**Requirements**:

- Experience in a similar role in a busy restaurant
- Understanding of hygiene and food safety rules
- Physical ability and stamina to carry heavy trays and stand for long hours
- Availability to work various shifts, including weekends
- Multi-tasking abilities
- Good communication skills
- Ability to remain calm and professional in a fast-paced work

**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent
Part-time hours: 5-20 per week

**Salary**: £8.00-£9.00 per hour
