We have an exciting opportunity for an ACA to join our ever-growing RSPCA Worcester & Mid Worcestershire Branch to assist with the rehabilitation and rehoming of all the animals brought to us because of cruelty, neglect, or abandonment.

We are a passionate, committed team at The Holdings made up of Volunteers, Staff and Trustees. Our goal is to rehabilitate and rehome all animals brought to our care without bias to their behavioural or medical needs, regardless of the background they came from. We are a non-destruct Branch.

This role is fundamental to ensure that the welfare of cats, dogs and small animals are met during their time at the centre by addressing their medical, dietary, and behavioural needs.

We are looking for someone who enjoys working with all types of animals. They should be enthusiastic, have good observational skills and be committed to providing the best possible care for the animals within the centre.

**What you will be doing**:

- Assist with assessments and treatment of cats and small animals.
- Carry out daily checks i.e., inspecting the animals for signs of ill health or any abnormalities.
- Diet preparation and feeding the animals according to guidelines identified by the Animal Centre Manager.
- Attend to exercise, socialisation, grooming/coat care, dog walking and administration of first aid, treatments, and medication.
- To liaise with and take instruction from the Animal Centre Manager regularly completing all relevant animal paperwork and updating the centres computer data base for all animals held on site.
- Clean, disinfect and maintain animal accommodation, Isolation units and exercise areas to the high standard set by the RSPCA.
- Maintaining the smooth running and cleanliness of Laundry and onsite areas such as reception, along with always ensuring the security of the site.
- Liaise with members of the public and potential adopters to provide advice and guidance about animals and their welfare.
- To assist and help with volunteer familiarisation and training.
- Participate in fundraising initiatives and events held onsite.

**You will have**:

- Animal Related Qualifications (Desirable).
- Experience of Animals in a working environment (Essential
- ideally within rescue).
- A demonstrated genuine interest in animal care and welfare.
- Experience working within a team and Volunteers.
- Sound communication and customer care skills.
- IT literacy skills.
