Does the idea of working in a team of specialists delivering innovative solutions to achieving positive outcomes for biodiversity in the marine environment appeal to you? Are you motivated by creating sustainable change that benefits the marine environment and society? Do you work well in a team, collaborating to achieve goals?

If this sounds like you, or you’re curious to learn more, then this role could be the perfect opportunity. Join our Ecosystem Solutions department as our new Consultant Ecologist/Marine Biologist and work with us to close the gap to a sustainable future.

**Your new role**

As our new Consultant Ecologist/Marine Biologist, you will be involved in providing technical advice for projects in offshore decommissioning, International Finance, advising on the ecological enhancement of offshore renewable zones, marine (biodiversity) net gain, and ecological risk assessments (relating to pollution). The role will be predominantly desk based with occasional field work.

Your key responsibilities will be:

- Undertaking marine biology assessments and producing high quality reports
- Devising mitigation designs
- Liaising with regulators
- Assisting with management of small to medium scale projects with input on large scale projects with the support of the marine biology lead
- Team player engaging with Ramboll project managers, clients, partner organisations and sub-consultants

- Assisting with fee proposal preparation and client communications
- Inputs to resource planning
- Carrying out such additional duties as may reasonably be required in this role

**Your new team**

We are a growing, ambitious and diverse team with a unique integrated approach; the team is dynamic and friendly, delivering work for a range of clients.

Our team is small enough that you will get to know everyone and feel you have a significant role to play, big enough that there are people to bounce ideas off and with a range of different specialists and we are doing some interesting work on nature positive/corporate BNG work/renewables. There is an interesting variety of work and opportunity to collaborate with colleagues in a variety of other environmental disciplines.

From the moment you start at Ramboll, we will support your personal and professional development so that you can continue to grow with the company.
