Role Purpose:
Are you an experienced HR Assistant with a background in Health and Social Care and able to provide support and assistance within the HR department. This role is part of **Select Care Group Management Solutions**supporting a number of companies in the healthcare sector with their HR & recruitment needs. You will deliver consistently excellent customer service experience, resolving multi-channel HR general enquiries first time and triaging more complex enquiries to resolution and escalating where appropriate.

You will need excellent communication skills as you will be required to work closely and assist the HR Manager in providing a responsive and customer focused HR service, by ensuring timely, efficient and effective HR advice and administration including; coordinating procedures, recruitment, facilitating effective internal communications and be the first point of contact to provide support for managers and employees.

**Accountabilities**:

- Respond to internal and external HR related queries, ensuring advice is professional and in line with employment law and HR best practice, redirecting to the relevant team, or escalating to the HR Manager when required.
- Carry out tasks with a customer focus approach and organise your own workload whilst working towards tight deadlines are all skills required to succeed in this role.
- Assist with the 'onboarding' process for all new employees, including making frequent contact, handling queries and taking feedback.
- Draft new starter offer letters and contracts
- Draft employee letters in relation to any salary, disciplinary, sickness or contract related issues
- Monitor training due dates to ensure compliance with CQC and internal requirements; book training and promptly escalate any overdue. Assist with training carried out in-house; liaising with attendees, preparing materials, room preparation, producing certificates.
- Assist with coordination of reviews and appraisals and keep appropriate documentation.
- Creating end of probation letters and issuing to staff
- Add all holiday to online system and track allowances. Liaise with Roster team for impact of annual leave on cover
- Assist managers and senior staff in performance management procedures.
- Support the HR Manager in the progression of the HR function in developing induction, training and development, reward, employee relations, performance management, retention, engagement, wellbeing;
- Support and coordinate the appraisal process, assisting with internal communications, ensuring documentation is completed, and collating information for HR reports.
- Develop and maintain accurate people data on electronic HR databases and systems.
- Preparing contracts for new starters, contract changes, extensions and keeping accurate records.
- Preparing letters and documentation to support with various capability investigations, including grievance and disciplinary.
- Coordinate probationary periods ensuring processes are followed.
- Create and maintain records of personnel-related data in the HR database and electronic filing system ensuring all employment requirements are met.
- Coordinate reporting data from the HR database and assist in the creation of HR reports in order to inform management decision-making.
- Schedule meetings, interviews, HR events to maintain the team’s agenda.
- Office administration duties including preparing letters, photocopying, scanning and updating documents.
- Demonstrate and exhibit positive behaviours; lead by example, energising others on effective collaboration and be a positive representative of the company at all times.

**SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE**:

- CIPD qualified to level 3
- At least 1 years’ experience of working within a busy HR environment.
- Previous experience of working in HR within care or similar environment
- Previous experience of setting up systems and procedures
- Experience of working within a fast paced, dynamic business
- High standard of communication, both written and verbal
- Good interpersonal skills, with the ability to develop and maintain effective relationships.
- Achieves high productivity and ability to work under pressure.
- Ability to work with confidential and sensitive information

**Desirable**:

- CIPD qualified to level 3
