Performs a variety of packaging compliance activities, which involves packaging analysis, weighing, collecting and populating data for externals use. Provides high quality, cost effective, and efficient service to meet current and future demands.

Job Summary

Performs a variety of packaging compliance activities, which involves packaging analysis, weighing, collecting and populating data for externals use. Provides high quality, cost effective, and efficient service to meet current and future demands.

Inventory Control Specific Responsibilities:

- Work closely with Farnell’s Product Compliance team and Farnell’s third party partner Lorax Compliance
- Develop an understanding of packaging extended producer responsibility concepts and keep abreast of changes
- Analyse and handle packaging to ensure mínimal damage to enable re-sale of product, if possible
- Identify and separate packaging components by different material, e.g. paper, metal, soft plastic, hard plastic, polystyrene etc.
- Accurately weigh packaging components
- Populate data template with material types and weights, and send template to third party for processing
- Identify issues with packaging coming from suppliers and work with suppliers with resolve significant issues

Principal Site Responsibilities:

- Responsible for the integrity of the products
- Maintains a clean safe working environment at all times.
- Communicates with manager/supervisor regarding any stock integrity issues or problems.
- Ensures documents are complete, accurate and processed appropriately.
- Identifies, investigates, and participates in opportunities to improve processes and procedures, to include various key performance metrics, continuous improvement and health & safety.
- Maintains and updates systems as required.
- Other duties as assigned

- Good communicator both internally and with wider stakeholders.
- Passionate about customer satisfaction.
- Able to identify opportunities and issues
- Strong Alpha numeric and Microsoft (excel) skills
- Able to work under minimum supervision
